Community Partners believes that organizational capacity-building and individual skill and leadership development are essential to building solid organizations and healthy communities. In addition to the ongoing one-on-one consultation you receive from your program liaison, a variety of trainings, networking, and peer-learning opportunities are offered.
Common training topics include fundraising, proposal writing, budgeting, website development, communications strategies, and other topics that promote organizational development and strong leadership.
You can watch for announcements of upcoming training events in the monthly e-newsletter as well as through email invitation.
Community Partners facilitates a number of networking and peer-learning events throughout the year. One ongoing networking opportunity is the Meet the Funder series. Community Partners invites foundation representatives to present an inside perspective on funding priorities, what makes a good proposal, and tips on making an application stand out.
Peer-learning events provide opportunities for you to convene with Project Leaders facing similar stages of organizational development and/or that are working in similar issue areas.
In addition to the one-on-one consultations and group trainings, Community Partners can provide you with a wide array of other resources, referrals, and materials on key organizational development and programmatic issues such as budgeting, board development, program planning, and proposal writing. Please talk with your program liaison about accessing these resources and material.
