How should we handle telephone solicitations?

Community Partners prohibits all projects from engaging in this form of mass solicitation,
particularly when done by third-party "boiler room" contractors. It is intrusive, subject to
much abuse, and often done without sensitivity to donors or to your project.

However, if you would like to have project staff or volunteers phone a carefully developed
list of allies and previous supporters to ask them to give or renew their gifts to your project,
this is an appropriate and approved form of donor fundraising. Please make sure to submit a Notice of Intention to Solicit Charitable Donations prior to making the phone calls.
