If you have office space or valuable equipment that you would like reimbursement for in the event of damage or theft, then it's worth considering property insurance.
Office space
If you have office space, even if it’s donated to you rent-free, it is important to consider adding the space as an additional location to Community Partners’ general liability policy to be certain that it is covered in the event of fire, accident, or theft. Upon request, Community Partners will arrange for this coverage and charge your project the additional premium. The premium depends on the square footage of the space and the replacement cost of the office furniture and equipment.
If you have office space, you must track your furniture and equipment in a log that is submitted to Community Partners on an annual basis. The log will be provided to you at the time your insurance is purchased.
Equipment
If you have equipment, even if it was donated to you, it is important to also consider adding the equipment to the property policy to be certain that it is covered in the event of fire, accident, or theft. Upon request, Community Partners will arrange for this coverage and charge your project the additional premium. The premium is dependent upon the type of equipment and the replacement costs of the equipment.
