What is Bonterra?
Bonterra is the new name for the company that bought out Network for Good, and going forward they will be providing out donation management software. Bonterra describes itself as the second largest and fastest growing nonprofit technology provider, currently assists more than 15,000 nonprofits and more than 80 foundations and partners, which gave more than $7.4 billion to at least 225,000 nonprofit organizations.
I've received a concerning email from Bonterra, what should I do?
Bonterra notified us, that during this transition to the new contract, partners may receive emails that do not apply to them and our new contract. Please disregard. However, if you receive an email that you're concerned about, please forward it to Jonathan Mackay, Director of Financial Services, jmackay@communitypartners.org and he will review and reach out to you.
If you've received an invoice or a bill for services between July 2024 and July 2025, please notify your client services administrator immediately, so that we can get you a refund.
How will this affect my costs?
Community Partners will be covering all service costs for Bonterra for this fiscal year, FY25. The only cost that will show up on your financials will be Bonterra's processing fee for any transactions on the platform. We did this to get all our partners access to the full breath of donation management features, so that all of our partners can expand their fundraising and more easily grow their organizations.
What will I get with this new Bonterra platform?
The Fundraising Essentials Platform from Bonterra offers a comprehensive suite of tools and services that we will make available to all of our partners at no additional cost. This includes features like auctions, event management, Text-to-Give, and more. You can learn more on their website here: Best-in-Class Fundraising Software | Bonterra Tech.
Will I need a new login to access Bonterra?
No, you will be able to log in with the same username and password that you had before. There will be no lapse or change in how you access the system. If you didn't already have a login for Network for Good, one will be set up for you at no additional cost at the time of onboarding.
Will my existing links/ QR codes/ Campaigns continue to work?
Yes, there will be no lapse or change in any of your existing campaigns. All of your current links, pages, and QR codes will continue to work without any disruption.
Will I lose any data in the transition/ will there be any gap in services?
You won’t lose any data during the transition. And Bonterra has made sure there will be no gap in service, which was a critical factor in our decision to stick with them.
What will happen to recurring donations?
Existing recurring donations will continue seamlessly within the Bonterra system.
Can I customize the new donation pages?
Yes, you can customize donation pages on the Bonterra platform to match your branding and campaign needs.
What if I didn't have a custom donation page in Network for Good?
If you didn't have a custom donation page on Network for Good, you will be able to create one under the new contract, as that is one of the features that will be included for all of our partners. We'll be hosting onboarding and training to walk you through the process.
Where can I find training and demos on the new platform?
Community Partners will be hosting onboarding for all of our partners in collaboration with Bonterra to ensure you are set up correctly and able to use all of the resources available to you. We'll be providing more information via email in the coming weeks.
On top of this, all of our partners will receive access to Bonterra Academy, a library of training resources, once we begin onboarding.
And finally, in the meantime, Bonterra is hosting free demos every Tuesday and Thursday at 3 p.m. (EST).
