Community Partners requires Project Leaders to exercise caution and prudence in all matters where Community Partners could incur liability, legal exposure, or financial obligations on your behalf. Because litigation of any kind carries with it potentially significant fiscal, administrative, and reputational consequences, all decisions to litigate, or participate in litigation initiated by other parties, reside solely with the Community Partners Board of Directors.
Without an explicit affirmative decision by the board of directors, and recorded in the minutes of a Community Partners board or executive committee meeting, you must refrain from pursuing any legal course of action naming Community Partners, or any of its projects, as a party to litigation. Project Leaders acting contrary to this policy expose their project to the possibility of immediate separation.
