If a project wants to hire an employee, Community Partners requires that the project have sufficient cash balance and committed funds to support all projected payroll and benefits costs along with other operating expenses for at least six consecutive months.
This reserve ensures that the project will be able to maintain payroll and benefits for hired employees for at least six months. The policy is intended to provide stability for employees hired by a project and to assist project leaders in financially planning for staff.
There are circumstances where it may be necessary for Community Partners to waive the six-month required reserve. Please contact your program liaison and finance liaison if you are in need of hiring staff and have concerns about meeting the six-month reserve. Exceptions will only be made on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.
