Community Partners is thrilled to be in partnership with your organization to support your work! For stakeholders to understand our relationship (especially for those donating), it’s helpful if you can acknowledge our relationship in your print and digital communications. These include, but are not limited to: project brochures, letterhead, newsletters, websites, grant proposals, and solicitations of any kind. For example:
Whether incorporated prominently into your logo…
…or in the fine print at the top of your website
…we appreciate the clarity and acknowledgement of our relationship this provides to your communities. A few suggestions for how to explain our relationship include:
- [Your org name] is a project of Community Partners, a nonprofit fiscal sponsor and intermediary organization.
- [Your org name] is a project of Community Partners, a nonprofit fiscal sponsor and intermediary organization that provides us with administrative services, expert guidance, and the benefits of tax-exempt status.
You could also include a link to www.CommunityPartners.org along with Community Partners' logo. Several versions of the logo are attached to this article.
It’s especially helpful to explain our relationship on the donation page of your website, or alongside any text soliciting donations so that donors understand we process all payments. Recognizing Community Partners as your fiscal sponsor offers full transparency to donors and funders; it can also bring an added level of confidence to potential funders, clients and other stakeholders who recognize Community Partners as a well-established and highly-regarded organization. It also will limit any confusion as to why a check should be made payable to “Community Partners” and clarify why Community Partners is issuing tax acknowledgements to donors.
Example for your donation page:
- [Your org name] is a project of Community Partners, a nonprofit charity exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. Checks should be made payable to: Community Partners for [Project Name]. Your donation is only tax deductible if made to Community Partners, our fiscal sponsor and the tax-exempt entity.
